Theme preference
Treadmill for Seniors itself stores only your selected theme in your browser's localStorage. This is not a cookie. It remembers your display preference between visits; removing it resets that preference.
Analytics cookies and storage
The supported analytics services are Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Microsoft Clarity and Plausible. Analytics runs only after we turn it on, and only on our official HTTPS website, https://treadmillforseniors.com. They do not load on local or pages.dev previews. See the Privacy Policy for the current service status.
- GA4 uses first-party cookies such as
_gato distinguish visitors and preserve session state. See Google's GA4 cookie documentation. - Microsoft Clarity, when enabled, receives a denied consent signal for both analytics and advertising storage before its script loads. This applies to all visitors, including those in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland. We do not grant Clarity permission to write cookies. It runs in no-consent mode with limited tracking; session recordings and heatmaps may be limited or unavailable, and cookies do not connect visits. See the Clarity Consent API documentation.
- Plausible Analytics is open-source software running on a statistics server we manage ourselves. It does not use cookies or persistent identifiers to measure traffic, and we do not send these analytics data to the Plausible company. The Plausible Data Policy explains what the Plausible software collects. If you choose its optional browser exclusion method, set
localStorage.plausible_ignore=trueon this domain in each browser where you want to exclude visits, as described in the official instructions. This optional exclusion flag is separate from the theme preference.
We do not run display ads. Following an Amazon affiliate link takes you to Amazon, which may set cookies under its own Privacy Notice.
Managing your choices
This site is intended for US readers and does not show a cookie consent pop-up. You can use your browser's privacy or site-data settings to inspect, block and delete cookies and localStorage. Reading our public pages does not require accepting analytics cookies. Blocking cookies alone may not stop all analytics requests.
Google provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Microsoft's Clarity privacy FAQ explains its official opt-out options, including Global Privacy Control. Plausible provides the browser exclusion instructions linked above. The Privacy Policy describes these services and your choices in more detail.
