Information handled by this site

This is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We have no accounts, submission forms or application database, and do not collect account or form data. The site stores your theme preference in your browser's localStorage. See our Cookie Policy.

Cloudflare processes request and server log information, including IP addresses, browser information, requested pages and request times, to deliver and protect the site. Its handling of that information is described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use these to handle your question, correction or privacy request. Please avoid sending sensitive medical information. You can use the same email address to request access, correction or deletion of information you have sent us.

Analytics

We support Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Microsoft Clarity and Plausible to understand readership and improve the site. Analytics runs only after we turn it on, and only on our official HTTPS website, https://treadmillforseniors.com. They do not load on local previews or pages.dev previews. The current service status appears below.

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4): When enabled, it measures visits, sessions and page interactions, with browser, device and approximate location information. Cookies help distinguish visitors and sessions. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.
  • Microsoft Clarity: When enabled, it receives denied consent signals for analytics and advertising storage before its script loads, for all visitors, including the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland. We do not grant permission to write cookies. Clarity runs in no-consent mode with limited tracking and no cookies linking visits; heatmaps and session recordings may be limited or unavailable. See the Clarity Consent API documentation. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement and Clarity privacy information.
  • Plausible: When enabled, the open-source Plausible Analytics software runs on a statistics server we manage ourselves. It measures page views, referral sources, browser and device categories, and approximate location without cookies or persistent identifiers. We do not send these analytics data to the Plausible company. The Plausible Data Policy explains what the Plausible software collects.

We do not run display ads on this site.

Some product links are Amazon affiliate links. Clicking one takes you away from this site. Amazon then handles your visit and any cookies under its own Privacy Notice. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Your choices

You can inspect, block or delete cookies and localStorage through your browser settings. Blocking cookies alone may not stop every analytics request, and clearing localStorage removes your saved theme preference.

For GA4, Google provides the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

For Clarity, Microsoft's official opt-out instructions describe choosing Microsoft in the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool and support for Global Privacy Control. Clarity does not currently honor Do Not Track; do not rely on that setting alone.

For Plausible, follow its official exclusion instructions to set localStorage.plausible_ignore=true on this domain in each browser where you want to exclude visits. This optional exclusion flag is separate from the theme preference stored by the site.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us at the email address above.

Changes

We will update this page and its effective date when our information practices change.

Analytics services and current status

Analytics runs only on our official HTTPS website after we turn it on. The descriptions below explain the services we support; this section shows which ones are turned on.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

When enabled, GA4 measures page visits, sessions and interactions, with device, browser and approximate location information. Cookies distinguish visitors and sessions.

Microsoft Clarity

When enabled, Clarity collects interaction and device information for heatmaps and session recordings. Before its script loads, we send denied consent signals for analytics and advertising storage for all visitors, including those in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland. We do not grant permission to write cookies. Clarity runs in no-consent mode with limited tracking and no cookies linking visits; heatmaps and session recordings may be limited or unavailable.

Plausible Analytics

When enabled, the open-source Plausible Analytics software runs on a statistics server we manage ourselves. It measures page views, referral sources, browser and device categories, and approximate location without cookies or persistent identifiers. We do not send these analytics data to the Plausible company.
